At the end of the First World War Germany lay defeated and crushed. The country was in turmoil and political movements surged to and fro across the political landscape. During the 20s a small political party - the Nazis slowly gained support and by the end of the decade were moving into a power vacuum in German government. Hitler seized power and the rise of Nazi Germany began in earnest and with that the Second World War. After the war Germany once more lay defeated and once more was at the crossroads of political conflict with east vs. west. The Cold War set in and only symbolically ended with the fall of the Berlin Wall. This tour takes you through this tremendous panorama of events and places where history was written.
