  Arrive in London under own arrangements - details to be confirmed
 

You will make your way to your hotel

  1800 - General welcome to the tour, distribution of tour packs and explanation of how things will run 
  1900 - Drinks in the bar
  1930 - Welcome dinner and tour briefing - included
  London - overnight
   
Day 2 Sunday 6th June - London
  0930 - Depart after breakfast for the Imperial War Museum - free
  1000 - Imperial War Museum - Introduction from the staff and you will then be free to explore
  Lunch in a London pub - included
  1400 - Visit to the Cabinet War Rooms - included
  Return to hotel
  1900 - Gather in the bar
  1930 - Dinner / speaker (World War II)  - included
  London - overnight
   
Day 3 Monday 7th June - Dover and Travel
  0830 - Check out of hotel and drive to Dover
  1030 – Arrive Dover Castle
  1045 - Book in for your tour of Dover Castle and The Secret Wartime Tunnels - included (lunch facilities available- not included)
  1645 – Outbound P&O Ferry Dover/Calais
  1915 – Arrive France local time and drive to your hotel in the Dunkirk area (
  2030 – Dinner in the Hotel – included
  Dunkirk - overnight
   
Day 4 Tuesday 8th June - Dunkirk and Dieppe
  0830 - Depart after breakfast with packed lunches
 
  •  The Defence of Wormhout

  •  The Massacre at Esquelbeq

  •  Defence of the Bergues-Furness Canal Line    

  •  Bray Dunes

  •  The Mole and Dunkirk CWGC Cemetery

  Packed Lunch - included
  Drive down to Dieppe (about 3 hrs)
 

1630 - The 1942 raid on Dieppe (and the 1944 battle)

  1800 - Check into your hotel in Dieppe (1night)
  1930 - Dinner in the hotel - included
  Dieppe - overnight
   
Day 5 Wednesday 9th June - Travel and Normandy/D Day
  0900 - Check out after breakfast and drive down the coast to Normandy
 

1130 - 6th Airborne Division operations            - D Day and after

  •  Pegasus Bridge

  •  The role of the Canadian airborne battalion

  Lunch at La Chaumiere, Courseulles - included
 
  •  JUNO Beach and Museum - included

  •  From JUNO Beach to Objective OAK - the Canadian actions during the battle of Normandy

  1800 - Check into your hotel in the Caen/Bayeux area (2 nights)      
  1930 - Dinner in the hotel - included   
  Caen/Bayeux - overnight
   
Day 6 Thursday 10th June - Normandy/Breakout Battles
  0900 - Depart hotel for your full day's touring
 
  •  Op GOODWOOD - The Canadian flanking role and the failure of the British armour
  Lunch - either local restaurant or packed lunch from hotel - we are investigating the feasibility of a restaurant - included
 
  •  First Canadian Army's solution

  •  Op TOTALIZE, Op TRACTABLE and the closing of the Falaise pocket

  Return to hotel to freshen up
  Evening meal in restaurant in Caen or Bayeux  - included
  Caen/Bayeux - overnight
   
Day 7 Friday 11th June - Bayeux and Travel to London
  0900 - Check out of hotel and drive to Bayeux
  Free morning in Bayeux - opportunity to explore this Medieval town and view the Bayeux   Tapestry if you wish - not included
  Lunch - not included
 

1430 - Depart Bayeux and drive to Ouistreham - the ferry port

  1630 - Ferry Caen/Portsmouth
  Meal for you on the ferry - included
  2130 - Arrive UK - local time and drive back to London
  2330 - Check back into your London hotel (2 nights)
  London - overnight
   
Day 8 Saturday 12th June  - Travel and London
  Free day in London for your own sightseeing and shopping
 

1930 - End of Tour Dinner with a speaker - Special event dinner -  included

  There is a dress code for this dinner - a suit and tie will be required with the equivalent for the ladies.

Day 9 Sunday 13th June - Travel home
  Check out of hotel in time to check in for your return flight
  Guide will accompany you to the airport
